Speech & Language Therapy
Speech & language therapy assists individuals in improving their articulation, speech and sound. Articulation involves the clear and distinct production of sounds using coordinated movements of the lips, tongue, teeth, palate, and respiratory system. Treatment will not only help individuals in enhancing their speech & language but it will also help to improve their self-confidence as a result of their success. While children typically develop these skills naturally, some may require additional support.
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)
OMT helps individuals achieve the correct tongue resting position and also addresses speech or swallowing issues resulting from incorrect tongue placement or compensation. Benefits include reducing tension in the neck and shoulders, improving forward head posture, alleviating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD), and mitigating sleep disordered breathing.
Individuals challenged with speech & language disorders or OMDs can experience significant improvements through specialized therapy.
